EVENTS: Inaugural Downtown Mixer at WPNT Produces Winners

JUNE 10, 2009 -- More than 100 downtowners turned out Tuesday evening for a night of neighborhood networking—and free food—at Wings Pizza N Things (315 Tenth Avenue; wingssandiego.com). The event was co-sponsored by SanDiegoDTOWN.com.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals was broadcast on the sports bar’s flat-screen TVs, and Lakers backers were the only ones who left disappointed. A bevy of raffle prizes were handed out, including: one-month memberships to FIT athletic club, Padres tickets, gift baskets from Market 32, and gift certificates to Alpha Male, City Dog, Royal India, Karl Strauss, WPNT (natch) and the soon-to-be-opening downtown Broken Yolk.
